I have had the funnest time with my family here. We made special memories and had funny moments! We’ve done lots of trips to the beautiful town and seen views from the balconies over the hills. None of us are used to the calmness of France but we all love it! All of us have had a lovely time next to the fire in the living room just talking. It made us think and realise that life, nature and the world is really an incredible thing and I am grateful for that! I am so happy that we picked this place and I really do thank you for letting us go there. I have had the bestist of times here, especially in the pool and rolling down the hill into a stinging nettle! I may have stung myself but I didn’t really care because I was having fun! I can’t believe how fast this holiday has gone and don’t want to leave. But I know I have to leave and I already miss this amazing holiday with my family! You have made many lives very happy and I will never forget this. I especially will never forget the times with my cousins in the pool. Hope you have more amazing times here in your beautiful villa.

We were extremely happy with our stay here. The children absolutely loved every minute. The grounds are just perfect for a relaxing break to let the children roam free enjoy being outdoors. The kids loved the indoor pool and spent lots of time here every day. The open fire was amazing during the evenings. We thoroughly recommend a break here especially with children.

I don’t know where to begin to describe how fantastic Lavayssière was for our family and friends. There was honestly something for everyone with so much to do in and around the villa and the local area. The house is spacious, beautifully decorated and so well equipped. I can’t think of anything that it was lacking. The owners were amazingly helpful and the information booklet provided was so in-depth. I don’t think we will ever find a comparable villa with so much to offer all age groups. Thank you so much for such happy memories- we will be back!!

We stayed in Lavayssiere for a week in August 2018 for a 70th birthday party. It was a fantastic holiday for 20 or so of our close family. The house was spacious and cool (with the air con a blessing given a heatwave while we were there!). We ate in various locations – inside and outside – during our stay and the views were all breath-taking. The kids loved the games room, the tennis court and the swimming pools and no-one wanted to leave at the end of the week. We explored a little bit in the local area but there was much more to do if we had wanted to – perhaps next time. We will be back!

I felt I must write to you to say how much my family and I enjoyed our stay at Lavayssière last week. The facilities are superb, quite the best we have had with our family gathering over the last ten years or so. The property is extremely well equipped, and obviously a lot of thought has gone into the planning of all the buildings. A particular success was the tennis court, and my kids and grand-kids could not get enough of it. having the luxury of an indoor pool was also a bonus on the couple of days when the weather was not so good. The views all around are beautiful, with rolling countryside all around, and the area itself full of history and interest. I can thoroughly recommend Lavayssière to anyone seeking a venue for a large family gathering.

A huge thanks from all of us who had a fantastic time at your wonderful house last week. We had an amazing holiday. The pictures of the house don’t do it justice, its layout really flowed and all the communal areas worked well for us as a party of 18. I hadn’t appreciated before we arrived that there would be so many things for our twin 2-year olds to do – they loved the play house and the pool. The wide tennis court got some heavy use and was probably the hit of the week. Our group is already trying to work out how we can repeat the holiday next year!

My wife and I celebrated our 70th with our 4 children plus other halves and 10 grand-children (total 20) in July 2017. It would be difficult to find a place better suited for such a gathering. The main house accommodated 2 families and us, while the 2 gites catered for the other 2 families. The main house has ample room for us all to be together either inside or out. Each gite having its own kitchen and living space meant that the respective families were never on top of each other. The standard of accommodation is high, significantly higher than other places we have stayed at in France. Having an indoor pool, as well as an outdoor one, kept the grand-children fully entertained on the odd cloudy day. The owners have an efficient team to clean and maintain the property and it was spotless when we arrived. Unlike other properties we have stayed in, the staff did not arrive before the 10am departure time so we were not hustled while packing up. The well-maintained grounds, set in peaceful rolling countryside, enjoy fine views in all directions and are not over-looked. We made full use of the immaculate tennis court, had great fun in the pool, and were amused by the grand-children leaping about the large trampoline.
The restaurant at Bardigues enjoys a well-deserved reputation with diners coming from Bordeaux and Toulouse. We arranged for them to cater for 10 of us one evening; the food was superb and the service impeccable. It was also very good value! The nearby village of Auvillar and the town of Moissac are worth a visit, though when the sun shines it is very tempting just to stay and enjoy all the property has to offer. The owners were pleasant and efficient in all their dealings with us. They seemed genuinely concerned to ensure our stay was a success, which indeed it was.

Even before we had arrived at the property we were impressed with the professionalism and helpfulness of the owners. We hired the house and both gites for a week with 21 members of our family. The house was beautiful, tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. Both of the swimming pools, the jacuzzi and the tennis court were very well maintained and were enjoyed by all of us. We tended to eat on the lower terrace to make the most of the views of the surrounding countryside. There are so many things enjoy in the grounds that we hardly needed to leave the property but we did especially enjoy Auvillar and Moissac. I would have no hesitation in recommending this house as a wonderful holiday home.

A fantastic two week stay at Lavayssiere with four other families. The house is simply wonderful with everything you could possibly need and so much space that it never felt crowded even with 21 people. The property was very clean and well maintained and is set in a beautiful location. There is lots to do locally from the energetic such as canoeing on the Tarn, cycling on the canal, climbing and walking to more relaxing activities such as sightseeing and enjoying the local restaurants but we also spent lots of time lounging by the pool. Would definitely return given the chance and would recommend to anyone seeking a property of this size. Quite simply one of the best holidays we have ever had.

The property is beautiful and extremely well maintained throughout. The gardens are also lovely and there are plenty of areas to explore. The pools were extremely clean and the indoor pool bigger than it appears on the photo (ideal for the odd day of rain!) The accommodation is very spacious and ideal for larger families travelling with a wider group of friends. Highly recommended for groups of friends or (very) large families. The owners were extremely helpful throughout the booking process and providing comprehensive information on the property and local area. They were also extremely helpful when we were there and needed assistance with the language!

Three generations of our family and close friends stayed for a fortnight in this beautiful house in Bardigues. It is very much a family home and perfect for small people with lots of toys and a trampoline and two pools. We had meals delivered each day from the very lovely local Auberge de Bardigues. The house is ideally situated on the Route of St James and so there are many stunning nearby medieval villages and towns to explore. We received a great deal of helpful advice and assistance from the owners and would certainly consider going again.

The beautiful and spacious main property accommodated all of us for sociable mealtimes and evenings but the separate gites gave all three families their own space. The pool areas – inside and out – are fabulous. The property is well equipped with everything you need and has been beautifully designed and furnished throughout. Lots to do in the local area and the owners provided comprehensive info on everything from restaurants to supermarkets to local markets and events. First class service in a beautiful property which is perfect for large gatherings of family or friends of all ages. The views from every aspect are gorgeous. Would highly recommend.

Nous avons loué Lavayssière pour une semaine et avons invité un groupe de 18 amis a nous y rejoindre. Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel. Lavayssière est une propriété magnifique. Une décoration superbe. Les chambres, les salles de bains, le linge de maison, les cuisines, les terrasses. Tout est parfait. Une propriété très bien conçue avec une grande attention sur la décoration de haute gamme avec des détails dans toute la propriété. Comme par exemple du très beau carrelage diffèrent dans les pièces de la maison, des luminaires de qualité, une piscine extérieure et une intérieure superbe. L’emplacement est calme, les vues sont superbes et l’espace en soit même est grand et très agréable. Avec un groupe de 18 adultes nous avions tous notre espace et notre tranquillité. Les alentours de Bardigues offrent beaucoup de lieu a explorer et de très bons restaurants. Les propriétaires du lieu et la gérante du lieu Celine étaient tous charmants , très professionnels, sympathiques et a l’écoute. Nos amis étaient enchantés et impressionnés par la propriété, nous n’aurions pas pu rêver d’un meilleur endroit pour être ensemble pendant cette semaine magique. Nous envisageons déjà d’y retourner. Un grand merci a tous.

We made or first visit to Bardigues from California in late June of 2014 while we were looking for a place that we could stay in with 18 of our friends and have a wedding. We also needed it to be close to a village that had additional hotels and gites for the rest of our wedding guests. After looking at six properties in the South of France, we came across Lavayssiere…we fell immediately in love with the property and knew right away that this is where we needed to get married. Although not marketed as a wedding destination, if you can plan the (smallish) wedding with a local wedding planner (we found one in Toulouse) it is perfect. The proprietors are amazing to deal with, very professional and lovely people. Celine, the house manager was wonderful as well. The property is stunning, gorgeous views and tons of property to explore. The rooms, bathrooms, linens, kitchens were all perfect…wonderful designs, gorgeous tile throughout, it really is a dream home. Even with 20 people staying on the property, it never felt like a crowd because there is so much space throughout this property. The surrounding area of Bardigues is also magical, the local people and food…amazing. All of our guests that stayed with us at Lavayssiere have already asked if we could go back for our five year anniversary! Everyone was thrilled and impressed with the entire week, we could not have asked for a better place to be with our friends and family during that magical week. BTW, the wedding day went perfectly too!!! Thanks so much!

The house is big and spacious, huge kitchen, huge living-room, many pleasant terraces, excellently maintained. We were 13 adults and 10 children (7 aged under 8 years). The holiday was a pleasure for everyone. Both swimming pools are great. There are lots of toys for the children, as well as bicycles, scooters, tricycles, play houses, play kitchens which were all star attractions. The tennis court and table-tennis table provided entertainment for children and adults. The woods below the tennis court were an explorer’s dream. In fact the children enjoyed Lavayssiere so much that it was difficult to persuade them to leave the place, even for a short time. When we did go further afield we found the village of Auvillar very attractive. And the evening meal at the Auberge de Bardigues was delicious. I would recommend the house as a holiday destination to everyone.

This is an amazing house in a lovely part of France. We rented it for a large family get together and it was the perfect mix of luxury and relaxation. All the facilities are 5 star and you could easily not leave the house and never get bored. If you do leave there is a lovely restaurant 15 minutes walk through the woods and lots of nice villages to explore nearby. Thanks so much!

We were a large group, with many adults and children from age one and upwards, and we found that this house suited us brilliantly. The property was beautifully maintained and stylishly done, with lovely common areas both outside and inside. Both pools are lovely, the tennis court was brilliantly maintained and the garden and forest were great for the kids to explore. The house was well stocked with tennis rackets, tennis balls, toys, books, DVDs and games. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to other large family groups!

We booked the house for my 40th Birthday and we had 13 people for the start of the week and then 7 for the end of the week, the configuration of the house was great and we could accommodate all our combinations of friends with ease. The house is amazing, the styling is just right and not over the top…. Indoor pool and tennis court are of he highest quality. We had a BBQ almost every evening and it was a real joy to eat outside and relax together with friends. The local town is a short but very hilly walk away and the local restaurant has epic food. I really recommend this house and location to anyone. On another note it was great dealing with the owners who made the rental process very simple and stress free.

We hired this house as part of my husband’s 40th birthday celebrations. I couldn’t have been happier with our choice! We travel all over the world and have rented many properties in recent years but this surely must be one of the best we’ve rented so far. The house feels like a “home” rather than a rental property and guests immediately feel comfortable in the property. Our guests were all adults and the combination of bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms was absolutely perfect. Not one guest felt like they had a smaller room than anyone else and no-one had to share bathroom facilities. You couldn’t ask for more when sharing with friends for a week! We made great use of the indoor pool and jacuzzi. An absolute hit for everyone in our party. We also played lots of tennis and even those that had never played before picked up a racquet and joined in. The house is in a very beautiful area and the views are stunning. There is brilliant restaurant in the closest village called Auberge de Bardigues. It exceeded all our expectations and the meals were all stunning. This restaurant is a pleasant walk from the house and we were all pleased to burn off our delicious meals on the way back! We ate in this restaurant about 4 times and every meal was perfect and the staff were lovely. The owner of the house was excellent in communicating with me on a regular basis. He even arranged for the pool company to come out and clean the jacuzzi mid week as we were using it so much. The owners provided us with absolutely excellent customer service. In essence, I could not recommend this house highly enough. It’s perfect for all generations. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

As soon as we arrived at Lavayssière we realised we’d made a great choice. The property and grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the facilities were exactly as described and it provided a wonderful setting for a few days r&r, as well as a great base to explore the region. There are numerous local restaurants and the picturesque town of Auvillar is just a few km away. Thoroughly recommend this property, especially for large family groups as there is something for everyone and all age ranges. Fabulous house and property, idyllic setting. This house is breathtaking; huge with top class facilities, including an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis court, Jacuzzi, two living rooms etc etc. It has been beautifully renovated to keep its French charm, whilst being family and/or big group friendly. The decor is stylish, the view uplifting, the attention to detail next to none. The owners are considerate and charming. More than anything, there is a lovely feel to the place. I would recommend it unreservedly to anyone. I love the area too but the house is so nice, you won’t even want to leave!

Our first extended family holiday at Lavayssiere was a great success and one we would highly recommend. Both the villa and the annexe are extremely comfortable and well equipped. It is clear that the house is a well-loved holiday home and simple touches (plenty of children’s toys and DVDs) made for a very relaxing holiday. We also made good use of both swimming pools and the tennis court.
The views from the villa of the surrounding countryside are lovely and there are some excellent local restaurants. The owner was extremely helpful and recommended some fun local excursions. We particularly enjoyed the waterpark and zip-wire activity centre.
We very much hope to return Lavayssiere. It really is a very special place.

Our group of six couples with eight young children came from Vancouver, Canada to Lavayssière to celebrate the 40th birthday of the men, who have been friends since primary school. Lavayssière was the perfect location to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime event. It was big enough that everyone had their own space, but we could all gather together inside or outside for meals, conversation, or for the kids to play. The house, gîtes, pools and grounds are even more beautiful in person than they are in the photos. Plus the surrounding countryside and towns are full of amazing things to see, do, eat and drink! We wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend Lavayssière, and hope to come back, perhaps to celebrate our 50th birthdays….

First you are surrounded by almost nothing. Nothing in the very best sense of the word. And nothing can be so fantastic. The closest town is about 10 minutes away. And it doesn’t have much, and it’s not open very much – except that it features pretty amazing chocolate croissants and baguette if you get there early enough. And the local village has an incredible restaurant. But don’t worry, you’re surrounded by delicious in every direction. And when you’ve explored the countryside, eaten everything in sight and found some great local grapes to keep your glass filled on the patio you get to return to Lavayssiere. And it’s quiet, lovely, and charming with ample lavender in the front of the house, and deer wandering in the back, is a place like no other. If you don’t start cooking duck, sausage, bacon, and beans immediately, you’re probably dead inside.

Nous avons passé une semaine géniale dans un endroit merveilleux avec nos amis merveilleusement géniaux…et un peu fous: les fêtards sont venus à bout des tetards!

Our week at Lavayssière was magical! The property is so welcoming, so well thought out and so rich in comforts that it’s so easy to switch off, relax and enjoy Both children and adults enjoyed the many facilities Lavayssière has to offer and even with the weather being a little hit and miss, we enjoyed every moment of it. I have no reservation in saying that everyone from our group of 20 (10 Adults & 10 Children) wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Lavayssière and we’re all keen to return.
From the initial contact with the owners, to the warm reception we received from Celine, to the sweet Mme Mousseron and the flexibility of Camille from Auberge de Bardigues (the local restaurant that was outstanding in every way), this was an amazing holiday!

Wij zijn met een groep van 5 koppels en in totaal 13 kinderen naar Frankrijk getrokken en hebben een week in Lavayssière gelogeerd. Het huis is werkelijk een klein paradijsje met alles erop en eraan. De kinderen hebben zich geamuseerd in binnen- en buitenzwembad, de volwassenen tevens op het tennisveld. Het huis is prachtig gelegen met een mooi zicht op de omgeving en voorzien van alle comfort. Een ideale plek om met vrienden of familie een weekje te onthaasten.
We are a group of 5 couples and a total of 13 children drawn to France and stayed a week in Lavayssière. The house really is a little paradise with all the extras. The children amused themselves in the indoor and outdoor pools, the adults also on the tennis court. The house is beautifully situated with a stunning view of the surroundings and equipped with every comfort. An ideal place to meet friends or family for a week to relax.

Wij hebben genoten met een groep van 5 families van het domein Lavayssière. Er was voor iedereen wat wils, van klein tot groot. We hebben genoten van het huis, waar alle voorzieningen aanwezig waren, bovendien was er genoeg ruimte om voldoende privacy te hebben, zelfs in grote groep. Het was een fantastische vakantie!
We have enjoyed Domaine Lavayssière with great pleasure in a group of 5 families. The house offered something for everybody, young or old. We enjoyed the house, with everything available that is needed (and more, like ipod-connection in the house), and we had enough space for everybody to have some privacy, even in a big group. It was a fantastic holiday!

Wij boekten ons verblijf in Lavayssière na het zien van de foto’s op de website. Bij aankomst bleek echter dat de kwaliteit van de kamers in het hoofdgebouw en de gites nog hoger lagen dan we verwacht hadden. De grootste pluspunten voor ons waren het binnenzwembad, de jacuzzi, de Sonos muziekinstallatie en de kookmogelijkheden. Lavayssière bleek de perfecte locatie voor onze groep van 13 (leeftijd 21-33) van wie sommigen liever aan het zwembad relaxten terwijl anderen actiever konden zijn door te tenissen, koken, pétanque spelen of de omgeving te gaan verkennen. Wij komen zeker terug!
We booked our stay at Lavayssière based on the photos we found on the website. Upon arrival it became clear the quality level of the rooms in the main house and gites was even higher than we expected. We particularly enjoyed the indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, the Sonos sound installation and the cooking accommodations. Lavayssière turned out to be the perfect location for our group of 13 (aged 21-33) in which some like to just relax by the pool while others could be more active and play tennis, jeu de boules or even cook and explore the surrounding area. We will be back for sure!

Nous cherchions un endroit exceptionnel pour nous et nos invités à l’occasion d’un événement très spécial pour nous. Notre séjour à Lavayssière a été au-delà de nos attentes… Lézarder au soleil près de la piscine, s’amuser avec les enfants dans la salle de jeu, diner sur la terrasse au soleil couchant, finir la soirée dans le jacuzzi, nous avons apprécié chaque heure passée là bas. La maison et les gîtes sont fantastiques, les deux piscines sont incroyables. Les photos du site vous donnent un avant goût. De plus, les propriétaires sont charmants et feront tout pour que vous passiez le meilleur séjour possible. Une semaine à Lavayssière est une expérience que nous vous recommandons chaudement!

We were looking for a very special place for us and our guests for a very special moment, and staying at Lavayssière was even better that we hoped for… Sunbathing by the pool, playing with the kids in the games room, dining on the terrace in the sunset, chilling out in the hot tub at midnight, we enjoyed every moment there! The house and the gîtes are fantastic and the pools are stunning… The photos from the website give you an idea. In addition, the owners are lovely and will do everything for you to have the best stay. A week in Lavayssière is an experience we would definitely recommend!

Perdue au cœur de la campagne, Lavayssière est un endroit magique pour se ressourcer et profiter de la vie! Nos p’tits gars ont adoré jouer près de la mare avec sa faune de grenouilles et têtards pour enfin finir la journée en piquant une tête dans la piscine. Nous avons aussi aimé les balades en forêt ou au milieux des vergers où les fermiers du coin étaient fiers de nous faire profiter de leurs productions de pommes ou nectarines. Nous reviendrons dès que possible!
Deep in the heart of the French countryside, Lavayssière is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the simple things in life. Our boys enjoyed spotting tadpoles and hunting for frogs from the pond, before taking a splash in the pool to refresh! We also loved going for walks in the woods, across the meadows and past the orchards where a local farmer was happy to share freshly-picked apples and nectarines. We’re already looking forward to going back!

There is so much space and so much to do at Lavayssière that we didn’t feel the need to venture off the estate at all. The grown-ups could relax and our children entertained themselves. We had so much fun. The refurbishment of the original farm buildings has been done with great sensitivity, combining rural charm with 21st century luxury (Casper). Beautiful house, lovely pools, very relaxing (Tracey). It’s great because whenever the sun gets too hot you can just take a dip in the pool. If you like wildlife, you can go down to the ponds or woods where there are frogs and lizards. We even saw a deer (Oscar). It would be great for a wedding, or something like that (Olivia). I love the swimming pools. The indoor swimming pool is hot and the outdoor swimming pool is cool (Camilla).

Our trip to Lavayssière was our first holiday with our 4-month old son. We were delighted at how accessible it was. Door-to-door our trip from Dublin took just over 5 hours!
Everything went wonderfully, from the very obliging weather to the lovely food to your amazing house: traditional farmhouse meets contemporary style and luxury! The rooms are very generous, tastefully decorated with beautiful furniture and artwork on the walls. The kitchen/dining area is great and there’s a very welcoming air throughout. The house was nice and cool by day and night for our little one. Lots of toys in the games room meant he was always entertained. Highchairs, a baby bouncer and a travel cot were all provided. The heated indoor swimming pool is perfect for a small child with no sunburn worries! In the evenings we either ate out on one of the terraces, enjoyed the BBQ or visited the top class French restaurant in the nearby village. The restaurant is really family-friendly and was happy to facilitate our push-chair and sleeping baby.
All-in-all we had a fantastic relaxing break at this beautiful place. In particular the luxury of child-friendly home comforts made our first trip abroad with our little son a great memory.

Although I had seen photos of Lavayssière it really was breathtaking in real life. It was perfect for us 14 girls (mums) escaping for a weekend of great food, wine and company.
It’s set in beautiful countryside and has everything you need to have a truly relaxing time with friends, or to be more energetic (as some of the mums were) playing tennis, table tennis or swimming in either the outdoor pool, or the indoor pool which also has a fantastic jacuzzi – a real treat.
The local restaurant, the Auberge de Bardigues (walking distance from Lavayssière) is both elegant and contemporary – perhaps not what I expected to find in the middle of the countryside. The food and wine were fabulous, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly (we had some ladies with special dietary needs in our party). I had an amazing time and would love to go again with my family. It’s perfect for the young, old… and in-betweeners.

Lavayssière is easily the most amazing private house I have ever stayed in. Even as someone who doesn’t enjoy swimming it was impossible not to be impressed by the modernity of the two swimming pools, however as a massive fan of playing tennis, eating food and drinking wine, the house and its surrounding estate really delivered the goods. The view from the tennis court involves plum trees on one side and a sweeping meadow on the other, and with a pristine spanking new surface to enjoy, it’s hard to imagine a better break for anyone who loves tennis. As for the food and wine, there are great (and friendly!) local restaurants, wonderful Gascon wine, and really natural, quality local produce to enjoy in the wonderfully refurbished farmhouse. My visit happened in March when it was about 25˚C and sunny every day. The combination of fun and luxury gave me the best break I’ve had for a very long time.

It was our first trip to Gascony and could not have been spent in nicer surroundings. Lavayssière is perfectly situated for exploring the neighbouring towns and countryside and, of course, sampling the famous Gascon cuisine at the many local restaurants (Autumn was really a great time for that!) The house itself also has so much to offer: for the more energetic among us there was as much tennis as we could play (the setting of your court was perfect); walking in the woods (and collecting firewood for the evening); then cooling off in the pool. Otherwise, sitting back on the verandah admiring the view and listening to the silence was a great pleasure. The children also had a great time exploring, swimming and just generally running about. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a wonderful week in truly tranquil surroundings. The kids were able to run wild in the spacious grounds – climbing trees, pond dipping, building shelters in the woods and, of course, swimming in the two beautiful pools. We hardly felt the need to leave Lavayssière, but did enjoy exploring the local villages with their fantastic food markets and restaurants. Other highlights included fishing at a lake nearby and the high-wire course near Montech (see it here: Agrip Aventure). A great holiday for the whole family!
